Your goal is to lose some weight and get toned. So you chuck on the running shoes, head to the gym, jump on the treadmill hit and run right? Well this can be somewhat true
When we look to lose fat we don’t want to think about just loosing weight on the scales. To achieve that ‘toned’ look is through building muscle and reducing body fat. And the best way to achieve this is through weight resistance.
Retaining muscle when burning body fat is our focus here and why strength training is optimal.
This is not to say the Treadmill doesn’t have a place in your training. As you find your progress starting to slow and you have your food on point adding in some extra cardio work can be a get tool to help kick alone your progress and remove that last bit of body fat.
